Naeema Fox, also known as Red Fox in the community, is a realtor in Pomona, CA. She moved to Pomona in 2017 from Los Angeles and became an emergency foster parent that day; however, she has three adult children of her own and three grandchildren too. She wanted to get involved in the community and stumble upon the Pomona Valley Certified Farmers Market located in the parking lot of Purpose Church because they had “free coffee” and great conversations. She got hooked and came every week with games, snacks, and sometimes homework she needed to get done because she was also a full-time student at Mt San Antonio College studying business. After showing up for several months, she was asked to set up a booth for the local homeless community to collect needed clothing. Being a creative person, she came up with many different ideas on how to get the community involved in what she was doing, and For The People: Thrifty Goodies was born. An independent public charity to serve the needy and the unsheltered residence in Pomona and beyond.
